Toyota will soon be introducing the North American version of the C-HR to the US and Canada.
This version of the C-HR will be making its debut at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show come 17 November.
No official powertrain details have been released so far but the version in other countries are equipped with 1.2-liter turbocharged four with a six-speed manual transmission.
The CVT variant comes with a 2.0-liter with 142 horsepower while the hybrid version comes with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder paired to an electric motor making 120 horsepower.
The C-HR would be coming as a front-wheel drive as a standard while the all-wheel drive would be optional.
Toyota may label this vehicle as a compact model but with 171.7-inches length, 70.7-inches width, 61-inches height and a 103.9-inches wheelbase, the C-HR can be considered in-between categories.
This is because it is far bigger than the Juke which measures 162.4-inches length and 99.6-inches wheelbase but smaller than the RAV-4 with 179.9-inches length and 104.7-inches wheelbase.
However, many have felt that Toyota did a poor job in the styling – some have even called it ugly, to say the least – while others feel that the automaker had completely ripped off the designs from the Juke.
